Is a gold wash machine the same thing as a wash plant?
Same machine, different words for it. People say gold wash machine, wash plant, trommel, or just plant, and mostly mean one unit that breaks down pay dirt, screens off the oversize and runs the fines across a sluice. What matters is not the name but whether it does all three jobs in one pass — ours do, so you are not buying a separate screen deck and sluice box to sit alongside it.
How do I pick the right size gold mining wash plant?
Work back from how much ground you can feed it, not from how much gold you hope to recover. A plant rated at 100 tons per hour only earns that if your excavator and your water can keep up. If you are testing a claim, start smaller and step up once you know the ground. Run the size calculator or compare the models.
Can I move a portable gold wash plant between claims?
Yes — that is the point of the design. The smaller plants tow behind a standard truck and set up in about half an hour; the largest take around an hour. Every plant is container-ready, which is how they reach Ghana, Guyana and Papua New Guinea as easily as Alaska.
What do I need on site before a wash plant for gold will run?
Water, a way to feed it, and power. Most operations recirculate water off a settling pond rather than hauling it, an excavator or loader does the feeding, and the plant is configured for diesel or electric when it is built. See the full process.
